A Message from the President and CEO of Emmanuel Health, Corey Miller
On June 21st, Emmanuel Health will recognize and celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day. On June 21, 2017, the Prime Minister announced the intention to rename this day National Indigenous Peoples Day. This is an important occasion to honor the cultures, traditions, and contributions of the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across Canada.
At Emmanuel Health, we are committed to fostering an environment of inclusivity, respect, and understanding. This day is an important reminder of the contributions Indigenous Peoples have made and continue to make to our society, as well as the ongoing journey towards truth, reconciliation, and understanding.
We encourage everyone to take this opportunity to learn more about the diverse cultures and histories of Indigenous Peoples. Take this time to reflect on how we can support and uplift these communities within our work and in our own personal lives.
Together, we can create a more inclusive and respectful province and country, where the voices and experiences of Indigenous Peoples are not only heard but celebrated.
